Marketing Assistant
Full-time (40 hours per week). Reports to the Director of Marketing

The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience (The MAX) is seeking a dynamic self-starter
to serve as Marketing Assistant. The ideal candidate is well-organized and has excellent
communication and people skills, and can multi-task and adhere to deadlines and schedules in
a fast-paced environment.

The Marketing Assistant will represent The MAX to the general public. He/she should be well
spoken, have good presentation skills, and be comfortable in both group and one-on- one
settings in promoting The MAX. The candidate will work with staff members, volunteers, and
interns, and will assist with museum events and programs as needed.

– Create and manage social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Spotify)
– Assist Marketing Director in organizing traditional and digital campaigns
– Assist in developing marketing strategies
– Prepare and deliver promotional presentations
– Research rights and regulations and determine usage fees
– Assist in organizing promotional events
– Conduct market research and analyze data

– Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or related field
– 2–3 years experience in Marketing or related field
– Strong communication and organizational skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
– Copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
– Exceptional interpersonal skills, friendly and professional demeanor
– Willing to work some evenings and weekends during special events
